Cancellation Management

The Cancellation Management module allows administrators to configure cancellation charges and manage cancellation reasons for Ride Sharing and Delivery services in Drivo. This helps maintain fairness, reduce misuse, and improve platform reliability.

Cancellation Commission Settings

Cancellation commissions define the penalty percentage applied when a ride or delivery is canceled under specific conditions.

Ride Share Cancellation Commission​

This setting defines the commission charged when a ride is canceled.

  • Current Value: 5%
  • Applies to: Cancelled ride-sharing trips
  • Purpose: Compensate drivers for time and effort

Delivery Cancellation Commission​

This setting defines the commission charged when a delivery is canceled.

  • Current Value: 5%
  • Applies to: Cancelled parcel delivery orders
  • Purpose: Cover operational and processing costs

How Cancellation Commission Works

When a cancellation occurs:

  • The system checks the configured cancellation rate
  • A percentage fee is applied based on the service type
  • The fee may be deducted from the user or partially compensated to the driver/courier (based on system rules)

Update Cancellation Settings

Administrators can update cancellation commission values easily:

Steps​

  1. Enter the desired cancellation percentage for each service
  2. Review the updated values
  3. Click Submit to apply changes

Cancellation Reasons

This section allows administrators to manage predefined cancellation reasons shown to users and drivers.

Language Support​

  • English (default language supported)
  • Additional languages can be added if needed

Reason Management​

Existing Reason​

  • Driver too late

This reason can be selected when canceling a ride or delivery.

Add New Reason​

Administrators can add custom cancellation reasons.

Steps​

  1. Enter a new cancellation reason
  2. Click the + Add button
  3. Click Save to store the reason in the system
